Pure Essences

Pure Essences is an interior design project for an architecture firm in Tainan, Taiwan. The building volumes are gradually recessed, creating balconies that receive ample sunlight for the working areas. Fair-faced concrete and grey slate are used on the exterior and inside, giving a consistent and low-key appearance that matches the surrounding environment. Stone pavers with grass between them improve the water retention of the soil. A small pool and a tree help moderate the temperature. The layout provides smooth circulation and open views toward the garden.

Home in Picture

The project is a living space created for a family of four with two kids. The dreamland atmosphere created by the home design comes not only from the fairy tale world created for children, but also from the futuristic sense and spiritual shock brought by the challenge on traditional home furnishings. Not being bound by rigid methods and patterns, the designer disintegrated traditional logic and presented a new interpretation of lifestyle.

GRND Coffee

GRND Coffee is a cafe interior designed within a space of 30 square metres. The old building has weak partition walls, so a separate steel structure was added to act as an envelope. The envelope is finished with oak wood in a herringbone pattern with brass dividers. Brass spacers repeat the pattern in the polished terrazzo floor. Marble surfaces and polished brass inserts are combined with industrial elements. Instead of standard tables and chairs, a row of upholstered benches runs along one wall. Small, lightweight tables can be moved to suit each guest.

Casa

Casa Teppanyaki is a Japanese teppanyaki restaurant located in Suzhou, China. The commercial area covers 220 square meters and is divided into five teppanyaki tables and one private dining room. The ceiling reaches five meters in height, and a skylight brings daylight deep into the interior. The iron cooking plate is shaped as a semicircle to reduce the visual weight of the equipment. Materials include white marble effect floor tiles, a steel frame structure and gray marble. Sprayed wall finishes and wood lines add warmth to the space.

Masa

Masa is a beauty club interior located in Shanghai. The lobby artwork is inspired by a poem on the four seasons of life by the British poet Keats. Handmade brass artwork casts the shadows of English letters naming the four seasons through natural light, so the stages of life are compared to the changing seasons. The main area is finished in white Corian, with brass lines on the floor and a curved ceiling wall. Terrazzo and wood complete the material palette. Partitions organize the space, while soft fabric armchairs and an atomizing fireplace create a relaxed atmosphere.

Elegant Curve

Elegant Curve is a showroom interior design completed in Taiwan. Arc belts extend upward along the walls and connect the first floor with the second floor. Each smooth arc carries a light belt on one side and inlaid titanium on the other, creating a contrast between warmth and precision. A large marble wall forms the main feature and resembles a waterfall. On the second floor, a diamond cut ceiling rests above the arcs, and the product display is combined with the concept of a house, so goods are presented within a complete living space.
